Charanda is a traditional Mexican spirit with deep cultural roots in the state of Michoacán. Made primarily from sugarcane juice or molasses, it’s similar to rum but holds a Denomination of Origin (DO), meaning it can only be produced in specific regions of Michoacán. What sets Charanda apart is its unique terroir—high-altitude sugarcane and volcanic soil give it a distinct, earthy sweetness with notes of vanilla, citrus, and spice.
