Daniel Bouju is a distinguished, family-owned cognac house located in Saint-Preuil, within the heart of the Grande Champagne region—the premier cru of Cognac. Established in 1805, the estate has been producing cognac for over seven generations, emphasizing traditional, artisanal methods.
Heritage & Terroir
Situated in Grande Champagne, renowned for its chalky soils and ideal microclimate, Daniel Bouju's 30-hectare vineyard cultivates primarily Ugni Blanc grapes. This terroir yields eaux-de-vie celebrated for their finesse and aging potential. The distillery employs small 16.5-hectoliter copper pot stills and ages its spirits in Limousin oak barrels, some for up to 80 years.
